Arya Vysyas back Saichand ‘padayatra’

Activists and leaders of the Arya Vysya Association extended solidarity with the ‘padayatra’, being taken out by film actor T Saichand on the occasion of freedom fighter Potti Sriramulu’s death anniversary. Potti Sriramulu embarked on fast-unto-death and eventually laid down his life which ensured the carving out of a separate state for Telugu-speaking people. Saichand in memory of Potti Sriramulu took out a padayatra from Chennai to Padamatipalli village in the district which was the native village of Potti Sriramulu.

Saichand reached Gudluru village on the evening of Thursday and paid tributes to Amaravjeevi Potti Sriramulu by garlanding his statue.

BJP mandal president and Arya Vysya Association leader Eennamuri Sudhakar, Srirama Seva Samithi president Srinayya and other leaders were among those who met Saichand.
