Bhatti hits out at Jagga Reddy

The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikdramarka on Thursday bluntly told Sangareddy MLA T Jagga Reddy to pick an MLA of his choice as CLP leader in case the latter was not happy with his leadership.

Bhatti Vikramarka, however, said he would respect the opinion of Jagga Reddy.Jagga Reddy, who is also vice-president of Telangana Pradesh Congress committee, held TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy and Bhatti Vikramark responsible for Marri Shashidhar Reddy to quit the party. An experienced leader had quit the party. Jagga Reddy alleged on November 19 that Reventh Reddy and Bhatti Vikramark were ‘playing their own game.’

Speaking to the media on Thursday at Assembly media point, Bhatti Vikramarka said that Marri Shashidhar Reddy should not have left the party. However, it was not proper for Shashidhar Reddy to criticise the party. He said that Shashidhar Reddy’s father, Marri Chenna Reddy, was not secular. “I am condemning Marri Shashidhar Reddy’s comments. BJP and TRS have been trying to see that there is not Congress party in Telangana”, he said.Bhatti Vikramarka found fault with Health Director G Srinivasa Rao touching the feet of the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Srinivas Rao said he would do so for 100 more times, Bhatti Vikramarka said, and added it was ‘objectionable.’

Responding to IT and ED raids in the State, Bhatti Vikramarka said that the TRS and BJP were politicising the raids being conducted by the Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate agencies. It was usual for the agencies to conduct raids. He said that the notices were served by the ED to Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. They were an act of political vendetta.
