Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday held an all-party meeting and discussed measures to be taken for the all-round development of the Madhira constituency.
Speaking in the meeting, Vikramarka said that he was taking all measures to promote the development of the constituency. He gave directions to the officials on improving the roads and civic amenities and promoting agro-based industries.
Leaders of Congress, BRS, TDP, BJP, CPI and CPI-M attended the meeting.
The Deputy Chief Minister sought suggestions from the leader on the development of the constituency. The representatives of the political parties made several suggestions.
Vikramarka said that steps were taken to widen the roads in the constituency in view of increasing vehicular traffic between Madhira and Hyderabad.
An underground drainage system would be built in Madhira town. The works of left and right canals would be completed to create additional ayacut.
He also held a review meeting with district Collector VP Gautham and district officials to review the progress of ongoing development works. Steps should be taken to complete the work in progress.
