Lyca Productions and Superstar Rajinikanth recently reunited once again after 2.0 and Darbar. The production house is producing the Jailer star’s 170th movie. And now bringing to much of its excitement, an ensemble cast has been assembled for superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film.
The makers had officially announced the cast, and joining them is none other than shahenshah, Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh and Rajini worked together last in family drama Hum (1991). Thailaivar means they would team up for the first time in 32 years. While they did not work together, Amitabh has always been an avid supporter of Rajini’s work.
Fahadh Faasil, one of Malayalam cinema’s leading stars who’s now making a mark across the country with memorable roles in flicks such as Mamannan and the Pushpa franchise, has been signed up for the movie, tentatively titled Thalaivar170, its makers announced on October 3.
Rana Daggubati, who wowed audiences with his turn as the villain in both the Baahubali movies, is also a part of its cast, filmmaker Lyca Productions said on Twitter. It remains to be seen which of the two actors will don the role of the antagonist against the superstar.
