Maama Mascheendra, starring Sudheer Babu in three different roles (as a don, a fatso and a DJ), will hit the cinemas on October 6. Its pre-release event, graced by Sree Vishnu, Sharwanand and Sekhar Kammula as guests, was held on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Sudheer Babu said that he hoped Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP would continue to make good films in the future. “Eesha Rebba is a proven talent. She has been a lovely co-star. Mrinalini Ravi, the other female lead, has got beautiful expressions. Some of the scenes between us are going to remind you of  Kushi. Besides directing the movie, Harshavardhan has also played a soulful character. His thinking is out of the box,” the Sammohanam actor said.

He added, “I have come across the comment that the prosthetics for my character Durga in the movie are poor. I urge that person not to see films with magnifying glasses. For people, don’t do that. The make-up is so good that a guard couldn’t recognize me,” he added.

Director Harshavardhan said, “This film has got an emotional family drama, a love story, and comedy. At first, I was not sure if Sudheer Babu would be ready to play an older man’s role. The uncle’s character will make you relate to his emotions. There is a mother sentiment at the core of the drama. My dialogues for Manam fetched me appreciation. I think MM will fetch me similar levels of appreciation.”
