Biopic on Jagjivan coming up in Telugu

Telugu film director Dilip Raja is making a biopic of former deputy prime minister Babu Jagjivan Ram and the film will be shot in the surrounding areas of Tenali of Guntur district.

Dilip Raja said he had earlier directed the film ‘Pandugadi Photo Studio’ with famous comedian Ali as the hero and also directed the biography of Ambedkar. He said that currently, he is making a biopic on Babu Jagjivan Ram in the surrounding areas of Tenali, Guntur district with the title ‘Babuji’. Former IAS officer Dr. B Ramanjaneyulu gave the first clap and Andhra Pradesh Government Lidcap president Kakumanu Rajasekhar switched on the camera. Director Dileep Raja said that senior actress Talluri Rameshwari played the role of Meera Kumar, daughter of Jagjivan Ram, former speaker of the Lok Sabha, and explained that Military Prasad is playing the title role of Babuji as Jagjivan Ram.

He said that presently the scenes of Jagjivan Ram participating in the Satyagraha during the freedom movement as a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and the events that happened during the days spent in British jails are currently filming.Director Dileep Raja said that the roles of Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Babu Rajendra Prasad, Bhagat Singh, and Indira Gandhi will be crucial. He stated that the second schedule of the movie will be shot in Chandwa village in Bihar.
