BJP advises Congress govt not to fall into BRS trap

Must read

BJP MLA from Nirmal Aleti Maheshwar Reddy said that the BRS Party has been enacting a drama to cover up its mistakes during its regime. The BRS had done injustice to Telangana, he said.
Maheshwar Reddy suggested that the Chief Minister not fall into the trap of the BRS party. He also demanded that the Chief Minister tell as to why the Congress government passed a resolution stating that the government would not hand over the projects to KRMB.
While participating in the discussion on the irrigation projects in the Legislative Assembly on Monday on behalf of the BJP, Maheshwar Reddy said that KRMB came when Telangana had no power to stop the Andhra Pradesh State from looting the water from 15 outlets in the Krishna basin.
Maheshwar Reddy said that a separate Telangana State was formed to secure rights on its share of waters in the Rivers Krishna and Godavari, secure funds and create jobs. However, former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao maintained silence even though the Andhra Pradesh State diverted hundreds of tmcft of Krishna water to their State, he said. Moreover, KCR accepted 299 tmcft of water for Telangana and the then AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu got 512 tmcft of water in the year 2016. It led to a huge loss to the Telangana State for the last 10 years.
Even today AP has been stealing water and hence there is a need to intervene, he said. He demanded that the BRS party tell as to why KCR accepted 299 tmcft of water. It is not proper for the BRS party to point a finger at the present government, he felt.
