The BJP’s Dubbak MLA, M. Raghunandan Rao, made a counter tweet against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s Secretary Smitha Sabarwal on Monday.
Countering Smitha Sabarwal’s tweet on the Manipur incident Raghunandan asked her to react regarding the incident in Nalgonda district in which a sarpanch beat up a Dalit woman.
He said in his tweet that Smitha reacts only to incidents that take place in BJP-ruled states. “We hope Smitha will react to the incident that took place in Telangana where she holds a responsible post,” he tweeted.
Besides Raghunandan, many netizens too reacted to Smitha Sabarwal’s tweet asking her to explain why she is not responding on the Nalgonda issue.
Smitha does not spare a second to react regarding incidents that take place in BJP-ruled states but she does not respond to atrocities that take place in her own state, they said.
Some asked her how she can react in a selective manner while holding a high post. “Will you (Smitha) react only on some issues like paid promotions? Are you not in a position to see the atrocities against women in Telangana?” the netizens asked.
