BJP celebrates launching of Amrit Bharat Station scheme

The BJP organised celebrations here after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the modernisation of 21 railway stations in Telangana. The Kamareddy railway station is one of the 21 stations chosen under Amrit Bharat Station.

The Centre allotted Rs 39.9 crore for the modernisation of Kamareddy railway station.

After the Prime Minister launched the scheme, the BJP activists organised celebrations by bursting firecrackers. Speaking on the occasion, BJP district unit president Arunatara said the Amrit Bharat Station showed that the Centre was committed to the welfare of the people. The scheme envisaged the modernisation of 508 railway stations in the country and 21 of them in the State.

The BJP evinced keen interest in the development of Telangana. The scheme aimed to enhance the facilities at the railway stations with modern infrastructure.

Kamareddy constituency party in-charge and former Zilla Parishad chairman Katipally Venkataramana Reddy praised the Central government for introducing several new trains and providing good governance during the last nine years.

Party district unit general secretary Telu Srinivas, convenor Lakshma Reddy, party leaders Gangi Reddy, Veeresam, Narasimha Reddy, Sridhar, Harika, Ravinder, Sai Reddy, Nagesh, Ramesh Goud and others were present.
