CPI MP Biboy Viswam has alleged that the BJP-led Central government is mocking democracy by surrendering to the Corporate forces.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in the grip of some corporate forces. It is unfortunate that those who did not participate in the freedom struggle are claiming that they are patriots, he stated. Binoy Viswam was here addressing a programme organised as part of Gujjula Yelamanda Reddy’s centenary celebrations.
Problems of people can be resolved when common men enter the Parliament, he opined. “The election process has gone into the hands of corporate forces. Tickets to contest in the elections are given by the political parties to those who can spend hundreds of crores of rupees.
Adani and Ambani are giving thousands of crores as party funds. Reforms should be brought to the election process to ensure that even common men enter Legislative houses,” he stated.
He asked the party leadership to draw inspiration from the ideology of Gujjula Yellamanda Reddy and go ahead.
Earlier, talking to the media Banoy VIswam said that the 26 opposition parties including the Congress would formulate an action plan to expose the misdeeds of the NDA government, adding that a strong ‘anti-incumbency‘ wave is sweeping across the nation.
Referring to the Manipur violence, he said that the BJP maintained silence on the violence. He found fault with the Central government for its failure in handling the situation in Manipur. The BJP is whipping up communal hatred to divert the attention of people from its failures including creation of jobs and curbing the spiraling prices of essential commodities, he flayed CPI State secretary K Ramakrishna said that a bus yatra would be taken out from Visakhapatnam to Tirupati on 17 to expose the anti-people policies of the BJP-led Central government and the Jagan Mohan Reddy-headed AP government.
The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) will defeat the BJP in the next elections, he predicted. CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna, political analyst Parakala Prabhakar, and other leaders were present.
