The BJP SC Morcha activists continue their protest on the second day in front of the Collector’s office opposing the cancellation of 26 schemes of the SC Corporation.

The BJP SC Morcha activists embarked on a 48-hour ‘Deeksha’ on Monday and continued the same on Tuesday demanding the restoration of the 26 welfare schemes of the SC Corporation. BJP SC Morcha state president Gudise Devanand and state president Somu Veerraju attended the protest programme today.

Addressing the gathering, Somu Veerraju alleged that the YSRCP led state government had owned the Central sponsored welfare schemes and implemented them as their programmes.

“Though the Narendra Modi-led Central government is extending funds for the implementation of welfare schemes, the Jagan Reddy-led state government has claimed them as their schemes without giving due credit to the Central government”, he lashed out. The state government is diverting the funds, being extended by the Central government for the Dalit beneficiaries, to other purposes, he slammed.

“We demand the state government to restore the implementation of 26 schemes of the SC Corporation,” he reiterated. Somu Veerraju announced that the BJP would take out rallies with unemployed youths in 165 Assembly constituencies in the state in the coming days. The Centre announced a Rs 900 crore fund to link all cities in the state. The state government had failed to take steps to implement the programme, he said.

SC Morcha state president G Devanand alleged that the Jagan Reddy government had failed to do justice to the SCs by not implementing welfare schemes with the fund extended by the Central government.

BJP State General Secretary and SC Morcha in-charge Bitra Sivannarayana, Former MLA Dara Sambaiah, BJP District Presidents Patibandla Ramakrishna, Jupudi Rangaraju, Talla Venkatesh Yadav, Maganti Sudhakar Yadav, Vallur Jayaprakash Narayana, Amishetti Anjaneyulu, Thota Ramakrishna, SC Morcha State General Secretary Meesala Prem Kumar were among those who took part in the protest programme.
