Master plan prepared for development of Durga temple

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Endowment Kottu Satyanarayana has said that the preparation of a master plan, which was designed for various development works on the premises of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Indrakeeladri, is completed. The new master plan was finalised on the basis of various suggestions and modifications.

Minister Kottu Satyanarayana addressed a press meeting at his camp office in Vijayawada on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the minister disclosed that as per the master plan they would construct a multilevel building for making prasadam. Also, a building will be built for Annadanam (dining) and another one for queue complexes, he said.

The minister further said that a flyover would be constructed from Kankadurga Nagar to Indrakeeladri for the convenience of the devotees, who face hardship during Dasara and other festivities due to traffic congestion. Master plans were also being prepared for other prominent temples.

Durga Temple Executive Officer D Bramarambha, Executive Engineer KVS Koteswara Rao and L Rama Devi and others were present.
