BJP will win 78 Assembly seats easily as per survey: Chugh

The BJP will win the next Telangana Assembly elections with a massive majority, Telangana BJP Affairs in-charge Tarun Chugh said.

Chugh said that the BJP had conducted a survey before announcing candidates and the survey report said that the BJP will win 78 Assembly constituencies. He said that the BJP’s score can go up to 90 Assembly constituencies.

Addressing the BJP executive committee meeting here, in which state executive committee members, district presidents and in-charges participated, on Friday at the BJP State office, Chugh said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao became tensed after coming to know of the survey’s findings.

Chugh called upon party workers to strive hard as there are more chances for the BJP to come to power.

Earlier in the day, the BJP held a core committee meeting focusing on Assembly elections. The core committee members DK Aruna, Vijayashanthi, Muralidhar Rao, Vivek Venkat Swamy and others attended the meeting which was held under the leadership of Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

The meeting was also held in view of rumours that early elections may be held in the state. The meeting discussed how to take Central schemes to the people apart from the Praja Sangrama Yatra, Praja Gosa-BJP Barosa programmes, Parliament Pravas Yojana programmes and the impact of the Union ministers’ tours in Telangana.

Chugh directed the BJP leaders to be ready to face early elections whenever they may be held. BJP President JP Nadda would hold a virtual meeting with booth committees on January 7. The BJP has 34,600 booth committees in the state and each booth committee will have 21 members and the total would be 7,26,600 members. Nadda will hold a virtual meeting with the 7,26,600 members.
