Transfers of officials well ahead of the elections seem to have become inevitable in Andhra Pradesh. Many IAS/IPS officers have been transferred over the past few days. Budithi Rajsekhar, who had been kept in the loop line post his service as the Special Chief Secretary to Government, Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Department, has been directed to report to the General Administration Department. Shashibhushan Kumar, IAS (1996), Principal Secretary to Government, Water Resources Department, has been placed in full additional charge of the post of Principal Secretary to Government, Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Department, until further orders.
K Venkata Ramana Reddy has been elevated. Currently the Managing Director, AP Housing Corporation Ltd, he has been placed in full additional charge of the post of Additional CCLA- cum- Secretary to CCLA, until further orders.
Senior IPS officer Malika Garg, who had been posted as Superintendent of Police, Tirupati District, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, CID, apparently for political reasons.
