POLL-VAULTING IN STYLE

Some babus have political inclinations that they unabashedly betray while in service, while others take a political plunge in style. Senior IAS officer from Kurnool district A MD Imtiaz, who had served as Collector of the erstwhile Krishna district, has struck while the iron is hot by seeking VRS, much to the surprise of his peers. The Kurnool constituency has a significant number of voters belonging to the minority community; so, all political parties prefer to field candidates from the minority community. Sensing that YSRCP has been looking for the right candidate for the Kurnool constituency, Imtiaz responded promptly and proactively. He sought VRS and joined the ruling party. No wonder, Imtiaz has since been appointed as in-charge of Kurnool.
