BRS Working President Industries Minister KT Rama Rao held a teleconference with the party’s district Presidents and General Secretaries. A decision was taken at the meeting to hold a wide range of programmes to strengthen the BRS and to mobilize 60 lakh party members.

As per instructions issued by BRS President Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, some programmes were formulated to ensure people’s representatives stayed among the people as far as possible and to strengthen the bond between ground-level activists, state-level leaders and people’s representatives.

One of the programmes formulated was ‘Aathmeeya Sammelans.’ Stating that BRS activists are the core of the party, KTR directed MLAs to take responsibility for holding meetings by considering 10 villages as a unit.

In the case of towns, ‘Aathmeeya Sammelans’ should be held in each town or by considering divisions in a town as a unit. The meetings should be completed in two months before April 25 by coordinating with local MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other leaders.

KTR directed BRS district unit Presidents to send the detailed schedule of meetings to the party brass as soon as possible. He also directed them to inaugurate district party offices by the party’s foundation day in April.

KTR said the State government and the BRS have decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar on a grand scale. He said that no other party in the history of our country had honoured Dr BR Ambedkar like the BRS.

He said the tallest statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar is being installed in Hyderabad and the Telangana Secretariat is being named after him. The Dalit Bandhu programme is also being implemented successfully.

KTR said that a wide range of programmes will be held on the occasion of the unveiling of the Martyrs’ Memorial on June 1.
He said that the party’s student wing has to take up activities as the 2023-24 academic year will begin in June.

He directed them to undertake a membership registration drive, form committees and organize programmes to welcome Intermediate students and students of professional courses like engineering and medicine.

On BRS foundation day April 25, the party’s flags should be unveiled and meetings must be held in all constituencies from morning to evening, he said.
