It seems that BRS leaders have come to their senses at last as they have accepted that the BRS lost the Assembly elections due to the weaknesses of its leaders.
BRS leaders accepted that the party lost due to their mistakes and they said that the Congress did not come to power because of the capability of its leader (Revanth Reddy) but due to the mistakes committed by BRS leaders.
Participating in Zahirabad Parliamentary constituency’s LS polls preparatory meeting held at the Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, former Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy commented that the Congress did not win the Assembly elections with its strength. He said that the weaknesses of BRS leaders led to the Congress victory.
He said that BRS leaders have to take responsibility for the party’s defeat as there were no mistakes on the part of ordinary BRS activists.
There is a need for cleansing the party as no party has cadres like the BRS, he added. Pocharam said that some leaders while staying officially with the BRS defeated their own party candidates.
He said that people voted the Congress to power not because it had efficient leaders but because of the mistakes committed by BRS leaders. He said that he was confident that the BRS would win 16 seats in the coming LS polls if it worked hard.Meanwhile, former Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy commented that the Congress did not come to power because of the capabilities of its team leader (Revanth Reddy) but because of the mistakes committed by BRS leaders.
