BRS MLA Sayanna passes away

The BRS MLA representing Secunderabad Cantonment, G. Sayanna, (72), died on Sunday. He had been suffering from heart and kidney problems for the last few months. Sayanna was admitted to the hospital on February 16. Doctors treated him and kept him in ICU. However, he breathed his last at 1.50 pm on Sunday. His family shifted Sayanna’s body from the hospital to his residence in Ashok Nagar.

Sayanna passed BSc and LLB and has three daughters. He started his political career in the TDP and won as an MLA five times from Cantonment. He won in 1994, 1999, 2004, and 2014 from the TDP. He joined the BRS after the 2014 elections.

Sayanna also won as an MLA in 2018 from the BRS. He lost the election in 2009 to P. Shankar Rao of the Congress.

Sayanna was a TTD board member in 2015 and HUDA director six times. He was also chairman of the House Committee on the rehabilitation of street children.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao condoled the demise of Sayanna. He expressed grief over the passing away of Sayanna. The Chief Minister remembered the departed MLA’s service to the people as a five-time MLA. KCR conveyed his deep condolences to the bereaved family.

KCR paid floral tributes to Sayanna’s mortal remains at his residence in Indira Park. He expressed his condolences to his family and consoled them.

Political leaders, irrespective of political affiliations, extended their condolences to Sayanna’s family.
