BRS out for a duck BJP & Congress win 8 each

The BRS could not open its account in the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana. This is possibly the first time since its inception that the party didn’t get even a single seat. Making big inroads in Telangana, the BJP won eight of the 17 Lok Sabha seats.
The Congress was ahead in eight LS constituencies in the state. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen’s (AIMIM) Asaduddin Owaisi won in Hyderabad.
The BJP which had won four LS seats in 2019 appears to be heading to a win in them. It has also taken the lead in four other constituencies. The party’s candidates established clear leads in Karimnagar, Secunderabad, Nizamabad and Adilabad which it had won in the 2019 elections.
BJP candidates were also leading in Chevella, Malkajgiri, Mahbubnagar and Medak.

The Congress is ahead in Nalgonda, Khammam, Mahbubabad, Peddapalle, Zahirabad, Nagarkurnool, Bhongir and Warangal constituencies.
State BJP President G. Kishan Reddy was leading in Secunderabad by 49,944 votes. BJP General Secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar took a huge lead of over 2,25,209 votes. The BJP’s Vice-President, DK Aruna, was ahead in Mahbubnagar by 4,500 votes.
In Malkajgiri, which is India’s largest constituency, the BJP’s Eatala Rajender was leading by over 3,91,475 votes.
In Nizamabad, BJP Dharmapuri Arvind secured a majority of 1,09,241. In Medak, Raghunandan won a majority of 39,139, and Godam Nagesh had a majority of 90,652. In Chevella, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy secured a majority of 1,72,897.
Congress’ Kunduru Raghuveer was leading by over 5,59,905 votes in Nalgonda. In Nagarkurnool, Mallu Ravi got a majority of 94,414 votes and in Zahirabad Suresh Shektar got a majority of 46,174 votes.
In Khammam, Congress’ Raghurami Reddy was leading by 4,67,847 lakh votes.
In Mahbubabad, Congress candidate Balram Naik had taken a lead of 1.13 lakh votes.
In Peddapalle, Congress’s Gaddam Vashmi has a lead of 1,31,364 votes. In Bhongir, Chamala Kiran got a majority of 2,22,170 votes and in Warangal, Kadiyam Kavya got a majority of 2,20,339 votes.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, who is seeking re-election from Hyderabad for a fifth consecutive term, was leading by over 34,000 votes.
In Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituency, where a by-election was held along with the Lok Sabha polls, Congress candidate Sri Ganesh was leading by 5,113 votes.
A voter turnout of 65.67 per cent was recorded in the polling held on May 13.
In the 2019 elections, the then ruling BRS had bagged nine LS seats, the BJP four seats and the Congress three LS seats. AIMIM had won one LS seat.
