The BRS in a quick rebuttal to the Telangana Governor said that her speech echoed the vision of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s vision of choosing the country’s infrastructure over the central vista during the pandemic. Kavitha, the daughter of the CM responded to Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan’s Republic Day address.
Kavitha in a Tweet reply to ‘The Pioneer’ said, “Choosing the country’s infrastructure over the central vista during the pandemic is what we demanded.Choosing farmers, labourers, and unemployed youth over focusing on wealth generation for a few is exactly what we have been fighting for. Thank you for echoing the vision of CM KCR Garu.”
Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that it is not appropriate for the Governor to talk politics on Republic Day.
He said that the Governor spoke against the spirit of the Constitution and that he will write a letter to President Draupadi Murmu regarding the Governor’s stand as in matters concerning the Governor, the President should be informed.
He said that it is not right to act in favour of a party while holding a Constitutional post. Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that it is not appropriate to use the day when the Constitution came into force for politicking.
Gutta Sukhender Reddy said that democracy has been upheld in Telangana. He said that it is sad that people in higher posts are not paying attention to the development of Telangana. Those who criticise the state government should also say what the Centre has done. When asked what the Centre has done, he criticised them for talking only about National Highways.
He said that everyone is happy in Telangana and that if the development of the state is not seen by some nothing can be done about that. He said that it is not appropriate to criticise farms and new buildings.
Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy advised the Governor to be responsible when they are in Constitutional posts and not to air charges when they get the mic. He said that they shouldn’t misuse their positions to make some people happy.
