Builders seek solution for problems in Dharani portal

Must read

Dharani site issues and various other problems are causing inconvenience to the builders. Telangana Builders Federation President Prasad Rao said, “There is no provision for registration permission and No Objection Certificate (NOC) submission in Dharani portal. We are weighing an additional 5 per cent mortgage. Tahsildars are saying that we don’t have that provision, and we don’t know whom to approach. The CM has held a meeting with Naveen Mittal. Even though we have told our problems, they are not resolved yet. Small builders are facing problems with 5 per cent mortgages. A few years back we registered for Rs 50,000 but now we are paying crores of rupees in the name of tax as 1 per cent of the land cost and construction cost.”
At a meeting of the Telangana Builders Federation in Hyderabad on Tuesday, he requested KTR that a minimum amount for taxes be implemented but not as percentage wise. “For one permission, we are going to various departments and it is taking months to get them. We are investing money on the land, and the borrowed interest burden is affecting us. It will be convenient, if a single window system is created,” he said.
Greater West City Builders leader K Raja Reddy said, “Without seeing encumbrance certificate (EC), MROs are giving patta passbooks to old farmers.”
TBF vice president JT Vidyasagar said, “TDR demand has been decreasing since it came into force in December 2017. So, the government should take action to strengthen the policy.”

TBF vice-president D Srinivas said that in the first five years of TRS rule small builders enjoyed. In the second five years big builders have been enjoying it.
