The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) marked the 41st day of its ‘Samajika Sadhikara’ bus yatra with spectacular programmes in Visakhapatnam North, Peddapuram, and Sarvepalli constituencies on Saturday. The events celebrated the YSRCP government’s achievements in empowering Backward Classes (BC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Minorities turning the yatras into a testament of inclusivity.
North Zone
Addressing a massive crowd in Visakhapatnam North, YSRCP Assembly constituency coordinator KK Raju underscored the successful implementation of development projects totalling Rs 3,427 crore over the past four and a half years. He highlighted the establishment of seven hospitals, 14 schools, and the creation of over 30,000 job opportunities through the construction of Inorbit and AMC Malls, attributing these milestones to the trust and faith the people of Visakhapatnam North have in Chief Minister Jagan.
Social Welfare Minister Merugu Nagarjuna took the opportunity to criticise Chandrababu Naidu and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for their comments on candidate reshuffling, emphasizing that CM Jagan has empowered leaders from backward classes, ensuring their representation and success in any assigned assembly segment.
Central Zone
In Peddapuram, MLC Koyye Moshen Raju commended the YSRCP government for its comprehensive development across political, social, and financial sectors.
He highlighted the government’s commitment to honouring and fulfilling the aspirations of BC, SC, ST, and Minority communities. Kakinada MP Vanga Geetha lauded CM Jagan’s pro-poor governance, noting the restoration of public faith and a shift from the previous TDP government’s utilization of citizens as mere vote banks.

South Zone
Rajya Sabha MP Beedha Masthan Rao emphasised CM Jagan’s noteworthy initiatives, particularly the establishment of a BC Commission and the initiation of a caste census in Andhra Pradesh. Rao highlighted the YSRCP’s commitment to allocating a significant portion of Rajya Sabha MP seats to BC communities and striving for 50% reservation for BCs in politics, presenting a private bill in Parliament. He applauded Andhra Pradesh for championing the cause of a caste census, an essential step towards achieving equality and justice for marginalized communities, despite the central government’s reluctance. Rao positioned the caste census as vital for accurately determining the percentage of reservation for Backward Classes in political representation. Andhra Pradesh, standing alongside Bihar, has taken a pioneering step in this direction, setting a precedent for the pursuit of social justice.
