Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha held a review meeting to evaluate the progress of construction of super-speciality hospitals in the State. He checked the status of construction of 2,100 beds in Warangal, the TIMS Super-Specialty Hospital with a capacity of 1,200 beds being constructed in Alwal, Hyderabad, progress of the construction works of 1,000 bed capacity super-specialty hospital in LB Nagar, 1,000 bed capacity super-specialty hospital being built in Sanatnagar and the progress of the expansion work of NIMS hospital in Erramanzil with a capacity of 2,000 beds.
In this review meeting, the progress of the work was discussed with the engineering officers of the R&B department who are supervising the construction work of the newly constructed hospitals. The Minister directed the officials to complete the construction works expeditiously. The Minister ordered the officials of the medical and health department to work hard to provide better medical services by making the hospitals immediately accessible to the public as soon as the construction work is completed.
He ordered the constitution of a technical committee on treatment for blind patients coming from various districts to Hyderabad city for better medical services. Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha ordered measures to provide specialty services and treatment in the respective hospitals as suggested by the technical committee.
In this review meeting, the Secretary to the Government of the State Medical Department Christina Z Chongthu, Director of Medical Education Dr Vani, Dr Sivaram Prasad, Senior Medical Officers, R&B ENC Ganapathi Reddy, Engineering Officers and Consultants participated.
