Former minister and Gudivada YSRCP MLA Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao (Nani) has strongly criticised Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan for what he sees as an attempt to imitate YSRCP’s ‘Siddham’ flexes with their own ‘Memu Siddahme’ (we are prepared too). Recently, Jana Sena has been displaying these flexies at their events across the state.
Nani highlighted the contrast between the preparedness of YSRCP and the Jana Sena, stating that while the ruling party had already announced candidates in all 175 constituencies, Jana Sena merely introduced a new slogan for its cadre. “YSRCP is set to contest all 175 seats in Andhra Pradesh, hence our assertion of being ‘Siddham’ (ready). Where are your candidates?” Nani questioned, underscoring the apparent lack of tangible action from the opposition.
Further, Nani ridiculed the attempts of BJP, TDP, Jana Sena, Congress, and other parties, noting their failure to field candidates in all constituencies while engaging in such superficial endeavours. He also expressed doubts about the capability of other opposition parties, including the Left parties, Telugu Desam Party (TDP), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), to field candidates comprehensively. Describing the mere erection of flexes without substantial political groundwork as “ridiculous,” Nani urged political parties to prioritize candidate preparation over the superficial imitation of ruling party slogans.
