The police seized 75 kg of ganja was seized while being transported in a car on the outskirts of the city on Thursday.
Police said that the car in which the ganja was being transported to Chennai, overturned on the national highway as the driver applied a sudden brake.
Three persons, suspected to be drug peddlers, who were travelling in the car suffered minor injuries in the mishap and they fled the scene leaving the car. The police found 75 KGs of ganja in the car and seized the ganja and the car. The police launched a massive search to nab the absconding drug peddlers.
