Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Advisor to the AP Government (Public Affairs), expressed his concern over the CBI chargesheet in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case, likening it to a concocted narrative reminiscent of a long-running daily serial.

He asserted that the chargesheet seemed biased and politically motivated, seemingly advantageous to Chandrababu Naidu.

Addressing the media on Tuesday, Sajjala emphasised that the TDP leaders and the yellow media were sensationalising the chargesheet, while his party was trying to preserve YS Vivekananda Reddy’s reputation by maintaining composure. He further alleged that the opposition was determined to implicate everyone in the case, making it difficult for the truth to emerge, especially with the changing stance of YS Suneetha Reddy, which he claimed had caused the investigation to take unexpected turns.

Sajjala stated that the evidence in the Viveka murder case clearly pointed to certain occurrences, but he criticised the investigating agency for seemingly pursuing a biased narrative with a poorly constructed script.

He fondly remembered Vivekananda Reddy as an elderly party leader who supported Jagan Mohan Reddy in building a better future, and he highlighted that Avinash Reddy had received Viveka’s blessings and was considered like a son to him.

He accused certain media outlets, allegedly supported by the TDP, of publishing articles that were not only derogatory but also equated them to threatening terrorists. He went on to label Chandrababu as a “virus in the system” and expressed confidence that the public would not fall for his tactics in the upcoming elections.

Responding to claims that he influenced YS Bharathi Reddy and Suneetha Reddy, Sajjala clarified that he had not met Suneetha Reddy along with YS Bharathi Reddy.

He asserted that their meeting had occurred 10 days after the murder and that there was no phone call from Suneetha to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after the incident.

He recalled that it was the TDP leaders and the yellow media who had engaged in character assassination of YS Vivekananda Reddy, citing Andhra Jyothi Radhakrishna as the outlet that initially exposed and publicized Viveka’s personal family issues and his second wife. Sajjala questioned the logic behind the CBI’s investigation, suggesting that crucial elements were overlooked in the murder case.

The case surrounding Viveka’s tragic demise has been marked by controversy, and Sajjala’s remarks raise further questions about the impartiality of the investigation.
