The Central Election Commission is paying special attention to Telangana in the context of the Assembly elections. The CEC has become alarmed as huge amounts of cash are already being seized and has decided to send 20,000 men belonging to Central forces to the state. In the next two days, CISF and CRPF will come to the state.
The CEC is now focusing on MRO-level officers to district-level officers. A huge amount of cash has been seized during checks conducted so far across the state. Due to this, the CEC thinks that stringent measures are needed.
State election officials are sending regular reports to the Election Commission of India after receiving information that there is a possibility of massive distribution of money and liquor to voters in coming days.
