Celkon CMD donates Rs 26.25L for Anna Canteens

Several people are coming forward to donate to Anna Canteens run by the State government.
Businessman and Celkon CMD Y Guruswamy Naidu has donated Rs 26.25 lakh to Anna Canteens while meeting Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence in Hyderabad. He urged the Chief Minister to spend the amount for the cost of meals in 100 Anna Canteens across the State on his birthday on August 31. Guruswamy Naidu said that he was participating in this initiative which aims to satisfy the hunger of the poor people.
The CM said it is appreciable that people from different walks of life have come forward to participate in the management of the Anna Canteens, which were opened with the good intention of providing food to the poor at Rs 5 a meal. CM Chandrababu lauded Guruswamy Naidu for donating the cost of one day’s meals in Anna Canteens. He said that anyone can donate as much as they want to participate in this programme.
