Certain police officers filing false cases: Lokesh

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday, said that some police officers in the State were creating a record in filing false cases against the Opposition leaders across the State.
Lokesh said that Telugu Yuvatha general secretary of Narasaraopet Assembly segment, Gangireddy Srinivasa Reddy, was picked up for an inquiry in a case regarding certain postings on social media, but later he was implicated in a liquor case. A total of 60,000 cases have been registered in the past four-and-half years in various parts of the State against TDP leaders and activists, said Lokesh.
Those police officers, who are trying to create problems for the TDP cadre only to satisfy the Chief Minister, will have to pay a very heavy price soon, Lokesh maintained.
