Former minister and YSRCP MLA Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) has asked Naidu what happened to Vision 2020. Nani alleged that Vision 2047 was a gimmick for 2024 elections.
Addressing the media persons on Wednesday, Perni alleged that except for publicity vision, Chandrababu has no other vision. People are laughing at the visions of Naidu. He asked to tell the name of one scheme that Naidu has implemented with his vision during his rule as CM for 14 years. What is the use of the vision which cannot support and develop the poor? Naidu’s vision is waste and of no use to society. Chandrababu is throwing bundles of papers called Vision-2047 on people. He is saying through his vision that he will reduce electricity charges if Telugu Desam Party is elected, but sadly three people were shot dead in the heart of Hyderabad for demanding reduction in electricity charges during the Naidu government. He held Chandrababu responsible for the debts of the Electricity Department as Naidu increased debts to Rs 80,000 crore from Rs 20,000 crore in 2014.
The MLA asked Naidu, who boasts of a political career spanning 40 years, what he did with Vision-2020, which he announced with great fanfare. He recalled that Naidu in his Vision 2020 said that the families dependent on agriculture should be diverted to other sectors and their number should be reduced and said that if 63 percent of families depend on agriculture in this state, how it can be reduced.
He asked why Naidu, even though enjoying the post of CM for 14 years, did not start and complete even one project in the State and challenged Chandrababu to reveal any one project to his credit. He said, “Chandrababu is currently 75 years old, now he says Vision-2047. Will his vision exist by 2047? God alone should know whether there will be birth or death anniversaries at that time. How many government schools were closed under Naidu’s leadership? Remember how many integrated hostels have been closed. Closure and locks are the vision of Naidu.”
Perni recalled that Naidu imposed user charges in government schools, collected money from the poor for medicines and even for medical examinations and that the vision of Naidu of sucking blood of the poor. He pointed out that 108, 104 and Aarogyasri are the vision of Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy and there is not a single scheme or project to the credit of Chandrababu.
He said: “Naidu did not construct a single medical college despite in power for 14 years, but young Jagan started the construction of 17 medical colleges in three years in which starting teaching in 5 colleges from this year, 53,000 personnel have been appointed in the medical and health department and this shows no use with Naidu’s vision and Jagan vision helping public, State and society.”
