Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, inaugurated Godrej Agrovet Limited, an edible oil refinery worth Rs 100 crore, in Chintalapudi, Eluru district. He also laid the foundation stones for three other companies.
During the event, he unveiled the plaques for Kribhco Green Energy Pvt Ltd, a bio-ethanol manufacturing unit worth Rs 610 crore, Viswa Samudra Bio Energy, an ethanol manufacturing unit worth Rs 315 crore, located in Sarvepalli, Nellore district, and CCL Food and Beverages Ltd, a soluble coffee manufacturing unit worth Rs 400 crore, situated in Varadayi Palem Kuvvakolli, Tirupati district. Speaking from the Camp Office on Thursday, the Chief Minister described it as a significant moment and emphasised that the new units would create employment opportunities for more than 2500 individuals.
The bio-ethanol units of Kribhco and Viswa Samudra in Sarvepalli, with production capacities of 500 and 200 kilo litres respectively, are expected to provide jobs for over 1000 and 500 people, contributing to the industrial growth of the district, he stated. The coffee manufacturing unit of CCL in Tirupati district, with an annual production capacity of 16,000 tons, will employ 400 individuals directly and indirectly.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the industrialists for their initiative in establishing these units and extended his best wishes to them. “I am pleased to note that the edible oil unit in Eluru district, with a capacity of 400 tons, has commenced operations within nine months of receiving permission. It has provided employment to 500 individuals,” he commented.
He also expressed his satisfaction that the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed during the global investors’ summit in Visakhapatnam have now become a reality.
District Collectors, people’s representatives, officials from the industries department, and representatives from the respective companies also participated in the virtual program. G Amarnath, the Minister of IT and Industries, Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, Chief Secretary, R Karikal Valaven, Special Chief Secretary (Industries and Commerce), Chiranjeevi Choudary, Principal Secretary of Agriculture, Padmavati, Joint Director of Industries, L Sridhar Reddy, CEO of AP Food Processing Corporation, as well as several industrialists and senior officials, were present at the event.
