During a high-level meeting held on Thursday, Kumar expressed deep concern over the prevailing state of education and outlined a robust action plan to rectify the situation.
To improve the infrastructure of schools, the Collector announced a substantial allocation of Rs 2.5 crore. Recognising the pivotal role of effective teaching methodologies, Kumar stressed the importance of comprehensive lesson planning.
To incentivise academic excellence, a grading system will be introduced, with a focus on improving the performance of underachieving students. To equip teachers with the necessary skills, the Collector announced plans for specialised training programmes to enhance their subject-specific knowledge.
The meeting also addressed the critical aspect of student health and well-being. The distribution of essential student kits, along with proactive measures to combat sickle cell anaemia, was discussed.
