Complete Medical College works by June, officials told

Andhra Pradesh Medical Service and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMSIDC) Vice Chairman & Managing Director (VC & MD) Dr D Muralidhar Reddy and Krishna District Collector P Raja Babu inspected the ongoing works of the Medical College buildings and infrastructure facilities at Machilipatnam on Wednesday. Former minister and Machilipatnam MLA Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) was also present.

They directed the officials concerned to get the college buildings ready for the opening ceremony. All works should be completed by the end of June.

After arriving in Machilipatnam, the team proceeded to Campbell Pet where the college was being constructed and observed the progress of the construction works and inspected the completed blocks.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Muralidhar Reddy instructed the officials to complete all the buildings by the end of June. The hostel buildings and labs should be ready as per schedule for commencing admissions this year.

He added that they had sanctioned Rs.8.80 crore for supplying water and arranging drinking water facilities. He directed them to arrange all necessary amenities such as electricity, internet, CC cameras and lab equipment. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will review the works next week.

The APMSIDC MD also asked the Medical College Principal and Vice-Principal to start the academic operations by visiting the college every day. The college should be a model to others, he said.

APMSIDC SE Balaram Reddy, EE D Ravindra Babu, Medical  College Principal Vijaya Kumari, Vice-Principal Asha Latha, and construction company representatives Krishna Reddy and Jagadeesh were present.
