The Congress filed a complaint at the SR Police Station against Home Minister Mohammad Mahamood Ali for slapping a security officer in the presence of Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Friday at the Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium during the birthday celebrations of Talasani.
Former AICC Member Bakka Judson filed the complaint against Telangana Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali for allegedly slapping a constable for not bringing a flower bouquet to greet Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on the occasion of his birthday.
Judson said in his complaint that recently a Police Home Guard named Ravinder committed suicide due to the same humiliation.
He requested the police to launch strong action against Home Minister Mahmood Ali under Section 1860 of the Indian Penal Code which protects a public servant who is discharging duties imposed upon him by law from assault or use of criminal force. These acts are punishable under IPC Section 353. The Act defines assault and criminal force under Sections 351 and 350.
He expressed the hope that the police would take action against Mahmood Ali and create confidence among subordinate police personnel without any further delay.
