Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is down with a secondary bacterial infection. The CM was last seen during the Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations at the Pragathi Bhavan on September 18.
Even the launch of the CM’s Breakfast Scheme was done without the presence of the CM.
Industries Minister KTR said that the CM has developed a secondary bacterial infection in the chest. He said that KCR had contracted a viral fever a few days ago and now, given the bacterial infection, it might take longer than expected for the CM to recover. KCR has been avoiding public functions for the last three weeks.
Sources indicated that the CM will make a public appearance next week, possibly on October 16, when the BRS is scheduled to release its manifesto.
Meanwhile, opposition parties blamed KTR. BJP leader Sanjay had said that KCR became ill due to the pressure exerted by KTR to make him the CM.
