Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha has charged the Congress with giving party tickets to persons belonging to upper cases and minted money by selling tickets meant for people belonging to the Backward Classes (BCs). She mocked Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president A Revanth Reddy for selling the party tickets. In Kamareddy, empty chairs greeted Revanth Reddy at the public meeting, she alleged.
The people in Karnataka were furious at the Congress leader, but they were boasting about their government when they visited Telangana, she said. She exuded confidence that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would achieve a hattrick and form the government for the third time.
She addressed the Gosangi community at Atmeeya Sammelanam here on Saturday. The Congress earlier fielded four BCs in the undivided Nizamabad district. This time, Revanth Reddy did not allot at least one seat for BC, she said accusing him of selling BCs’ seats for crores of rupees and giving these seats to the caste Hindus.
Under the BRS regime, the number of dialysis centres has been increased to 104 from a mere three in combined AP, she said, dwelling at length on the welfare and developmental schemes initiated in the KCR regime.
She highlighted the Mission Bhagiradha scheme.
She appealed to people to draw a comparison between the Congress rule with the BRS government in the past 10 years. She claimed that the BRS held job melas for youth and brought IT units to Nizamabad.
Elections or no elections, the BRS would always stand by the people, she claimed.
