A couple was found dead in an agriculture well on the outskirts of Narsingi village under Papannapet mandal on Thursday morning.
According to police, a 32-year-old mother of two, Swaroopa, jumped into the well as she was upset by family disputes. Her husband Nagesh climbed down the well to rescue his wife and they both drowned.
The couple, the police said, used to fight with each at slight provocation. Swaroop jumped into the agricultural well on Wednesday afternoon. Nagesh, in a bid to save his wife, went into the well to rescue her. Both drowned in the well, the police said.
As the couple did not return home, their relatives searched for them and found their bodies the next morning in the well. The local people alerted the police.
The couple was engaged by a farmer to work on the farm. They were survived by a son and a four-year-old daughter.
