Must read

For countless civil service aspirants, especially those from rural areas, gaining access to top-tier coaching centres remains a distant dream. But with the latest free coaching initiative by CSB IAS Academy, many hopefuls have found a new opportunity.
CSB IAS Academy received an overwhelming response to its Kalpataru exam, a competitive test for free coaching. “We received 10,000 registrations, with 4,000 candidates actually attending the exam. From them, we selected 15 top students for full scholarships and provided study material to 200 others,” said Balalatha, founder of CSB IAS Academy.
Of the selected students, five are individuals with disabilities who dream of serving in civil services. “The Kalpataru Talent Test, held twice a year for the last three years, has become a crucial talent hunt. We are now advocating for its introduction in the government education sector,” added Balalatha.
In a motivational speech to the aspirants, HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath stated, “Disability is in the mind, not the body. Obsession with achieving these dreams is common between ages 20 and 30, but failing to qualify doesn’t make anyone worthless. Many have unique capabilities that can shine elsewhere.”
Ramesh, a candidate attending the free coaching at CSB, shared his gratitude, saying, “Joining a coaching centre or accessing quality study material is essential, but expensive. Many aspirants like me are thankful for this opportunity.”

Several other students echoed Ramesh’s views, emphasising how costly coaching centres can be. They acknowledged the value of free resources like YouTube videos, sample papers and digital interviews, which have become crucial in their preparation for civil services.
