Dead persons’ names pop up in voters list

As everyone is aware that Hyderabad turnout voting percentage is below 50 per cent, a few voters may have not voted and few of them were going from the polling booths without casting their vote because their name was not in the list, but surprisingly the names of dead people are in the list.
People are saying that we have cast our vote in the Assembly, Lok Sabha and Municipal elections for years but our name is not in the voter list. Voters who have cast their vote in 2009, 2014, 2019 could not cast their vote this time as their name was not there in the voter list.
A retired Assistant Sub Inspector of police from Masab tank (Nampally constituency) said, “I have my own residence here and I have cast my vote since 2009 Assembly elections without missing. But this time my name is not there in the list. So, as a responsible person, I am very sorry that I have not cast the vote.”
