DGP orders probe

State DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy has ordered an inquiry into the group clash incident that took place in Macherla town on Friday evening. As part of the inquiry, IG Trivikram has been sent to Macharla to file the ground report. The DGP enquired about the people carrying rods and sticks creating terror on Friday evening in Macherla. Additional police forces have also been deployed in the town to ensure that no incident of violence will recur,  the DGP said.

The DGP said that the situation in Macherla is under control and warned of stern action against those creating law & order problems and will not tolerate any disturbance.

The DGP said that forces hampering peace and harmony will not be spared. He revealed that a thorough investigation is being conducted into the Macherla group clashes. The DGP further said that prime accused in the group clash incident in Macherla will not be spared and stern action will be taken against them as per law.
