DIG inspects sub-division police office

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) G Pal Raju inspected the Eluru sub-division police office as part of annual inspections on Wednesday. Interacting with the mahila police of the village and ward secretariats of the Eluru two town and three town, the DIG said that the Secretariat Women Police has been established with the main objective of knowing the security issues of every household of every woman.

He asked the women police to be part of implementing the welfare schemes in their respective villages and wards. The DIG said that the women police officers who work in the secretariats should ask the teachers about the attendance table of the students in every educational institution, inquire about the status of students even if they are absent, so that child marriage and child labour can be reduced.

DIG Pal Raju told the women police that they should collect information on single women and their welfare. They should be aware of the problems they are facing in society. He also asked them to collect details of women victims and victims of rape cases and victims of POSCO act cases and do your best to provide them with welfare programs.
