Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has emerged as the unstoppable leader in AP politics. With his poor-orientated welfare schemes, Chief Minister Jagan has secured a place in the hearts of people. No Chief Minister in the past has achieved this in such a short period.
Jagan’s record padayatra covering 3,648 km in 341 days across the state helped him and he got a chance to know first-hand the problems of the people. After becoming the Chief Minister Jagan launched several welfare schemes and this will help him to retain power.
The Corona pandemic fragmented the financial system across the globe. Even then Jagan surprised economists by implementing welfare schemes without stopping due to the financial crunch. This shows Jagan’s determination to help the poor.
Several schemes of Jagan like the social security pension scheme, Amma vodi, Arogya Sri and others earned a good name for him. No political party has implemented poll promises like Jagan. By implementing about 98% of poll promises Jagan created a record.
During his marathon padayatra Jagan promised to deliver “Rajanna Rajyam” to the people of Andhra Pradesh if voted to power. Jagan’s father the late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy became the “pitamaha of welfare schemes” by implementing several welfare schemes during his term and won a place in the hearts of people.
In implementing welfare schemes while YS Rajasekhar Reddy took one step forward his son Jagan took two steps forward. In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections Jagan came to power with a massive mandate.
After becoming the Chief Minister Jagan came up with nine broad welfare schemes called “Navaratnalu.” The concept of Navaratnalu is to improve delivery systems and improve the quality of governance. The village secretariat system introduced by Jagan attracted attention across the country.
In implementing welfare schemes Jagan did not leave out any section. Like the poor, students, children, women, farmers, labourers, the old, the disabled, auto drivers and others are the beneficiaries of Jagan’s welfare schemes.
Jagan improved the living standards of the poor with his welfare schemes. In the past to get old-age pension aged people had to go for several kilometres and spent hours in offices to get their pension.
But now Jagan changed the system. Volunteers appointed by the Jagan government go to the beneficiaries on the first of every month and hand over pensions in their doorstep. In the same way if people want anything from the government they no need to go to any office. Volunteers visit houses and enquire about their needs and they will do that.
In administration also Jagan brought revolutionary changes and brought governance to the doorsteps of people. Now Jagan has emerged as the Mr Unstoppable in Andhra Pradesh politics.
