Drive out BJP from State: Jagadish Reddy

Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy on Friday called upon people to wage a war against the BJP which was hatching a conspiracy against Telangana people. He called for a ‘BJP-mukt Telangana State.’

Speaking at a media conference, shortly after presiding over the swearing-in-ceremony of new office-bearers of Agriculture Market Committee at Tirumalgiri under Thungathurti mandal, the Congress was finished in the State. Rahul Gandhi could not lead the party. But, he was now leading Bharat Jodo Yatra to unite the people, he said sarcastically.

Telangana State is facing a danger in the form of the BJP, he said. He called upon people in Suryapet district to fight against the saffron party. He appealed to the people in Suryapet district to join the fight against the BJP and ensure that Telangana pride is protected. He stressed to drive out the BJP from the State.

The State stood first as far as implementing welfare schemes and carrying out developmental activities. Rattled by the increasing popularity of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the BJP-led government at the Centre was hatching a conspiracy against the people of Telangana, he pointed out. The TRS government had achieved in providing drinking water to every household. The State government had established 1,000 Gurukula schools and in the area of healthcare, the State stood first in the country.

In an effort to boost the morale of farmers, who feed the nation, waived farm loans worth Rs 30 crore. TRS was the moral compass for the country. He referred to schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema and 24 hours free power to buttress his argument that the State was committed to the welfare of farmers and the poor. Thungathurti MLA G Kishore, Dairy Development Corporation chairman Soma Bharat Kumar and others were present.
