Elaborate arrangements being made for Investors’ Summit: CS

Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy has said that extensive arrangements are being made for the Global Investors Summit (GIS) to be held at the Andhra University College of Engineering in Visakhapatnam on March 3 and 4. The third working session of the Global Investors Summit was held at CS Conference Hall, on Monday and chaired by the Chief Secretary. The CS discussed extensively with the officials of the concerned departments about the arrangements related to the upcoming GIS.

Jawahar Reddy said that the State government is making extensive arrangements for the GIS to be held in Visakhapatnam on March 3 and 4 to make it a grand success. Many Central and state ministers, representatives of various national and international companies, other delegates, and others who will participate in the conference have been given invitations. The CS directed the officials of the departments concerned to make all the arrangements like suitable transport and accommodation as per the provisions of the protocol.

KS Jawahar Reddy said that there will be a large-scale discussion on various sectors during the two-day GIS, especially Aero Space and Defence, Agri and Food Processing, Aeronautical and Electronic Vehicles, Health Care and Medical Equipment, Industrial and Logistic Infrastructure, Petro and Petrochemicals, Renewal Energy, Pharma and Life Sciences, Textiles and Apparels, Tourism, Skill Development, and Education.

The CS said that there will be a large-scale discussion on fields like electronics, startups and innovation, IT, and GCC. He said that two international representatives should participate in the discussion along with other representatives in each field.

The Chief Secretary said that domestic roadshows will be held in Bangalore on February 14, Chennai on 17, Mumbai on 20, and Hyderabad on 24 in connection with Global Investors Summit.

The Chief Secretary ordered the officials to quickly complete the process of providing invitations to all the invitees to the summit and also to quickly complete the selection of the invitations so that the invitations can be given to the invitees who participated in the summit. Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy discussed with the officials various issues related to the success of the Global Investors’ Summit.

Karikala Valavan, Special CS Industries, SS Rawat, Special CS Finance, Harish Kumar Gupta, Chief Secretary, Home Department, K Sunitha, Chief Secretary, Handloom Textile Department, Sourav Gaur Secretary, IT Department, Industries Department officials, and CII representatives participated in this meeting. Special Chief Secretaries Rajat Bhargava, Y Srilakshmi, K Vijayanand, Chief Secretary MT Krishna Babu, Visakhapatnam District Collector Mallikarjuna, Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner and others participated through video conference.
