District Collector V Prasanna Venkatesh directed the election officials to pay attention to the complaints received through the C Whistle App and take steps to resolve them.
Addressing the election officials here on Tuesday, the Collector said that they should monitor the implementation of the election code of conduct daily so that no violations are found anywhere. The complaints received regarding violation of election rules should be immediately investigated and action taken should be submitted, he ordered them.
“The complaints received through C Whistle should be examined and understood and the action taken in this regard should be reported. The complaints received on the violation of the election code of conduct should be resolved at the constituency level only then the people will have more confidence in the officials,” he told the officials.
Responding to the negative news coming in various media, Collector Prasanna Venkatesh made it clear to the concerned authorities that action should be taken within 24 hours.
The Collector said that on the occasion of the release of the general election schedule, out of the 8 check posts set up by the police department in Eluru district, the personnel should monitor in 3 shifts. The Collector ordered the officials to install CC cameras at the check posts and connect them to the control room of the Collectorate through telecast.
The MCC teams should carry out field-level visits and they should send their report regularly to the Collectorate, he told them. The Collector instructed the officials to remove hoardings flexi banners, and wall posters of political parties. Joint Collector B Lavanya Veni, ITDA PO M Surya Teja, DRO D Pushpamani and other officials were present.
