Rebel YSRCP MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has made it clear that he would continue to raise his voice against the YSRCP and dared the government to arrest him.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy said that he is ready to be arrested. “My voice against the YSRCP will not stop. If you want to muzzle my voice, you should kill me in an encounter,” he lambasted.

The dissident MLA reiterated that he revolted against party chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy as he was unable to stay where he was suspected. He said that he did not wait till the nominations day but he decided to quit the YSRCP now.

Kotamreddy took strong exception for dragging his children into politics by MLA and former minister Anil Kumar Yadav. He demanded that the conversations of YSRCP leaders with the sand contractors should be disclosed.

Responding to the demand of YSRCP leaders to resign from their MLA posts, Kotamreddy said that the Telugu Desam party MLAs who joined the YSRCP should resign first to their MLA posts.

“I Know that I have to face a lot of problems if I revolt against the ruling party. I decided and am ready to face them. I am not a novice to politics. I have been in politics for 35 years. I was mentally upset by the tapping of my phone. After showing the evidence of my phone tapping, I have started speaking against the YSRCP leadership,” he maintained.

He claimed that 10 ministers, regional coordinators and advisors are making baseless allegations against him and launched a malicious campaign against him. “The YSRCP leaders are releasing leaks that I will be arrested. I am ready to be arrested,” he said.

Taking a dig at Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Sridhar Reddy ridiculed that the Sajjala has that much knowledge of working as an advisor to the US President.

Kotamreddy denied allegations that he met TDP chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on December 25 and clarified that he was busy the whole day participating in various programmes on the day. Stating that he is free to meet any leader now, he asked the YSRCP leaders why they did not question him if he met Naidu.

Responding to allegations that he betrayed Jagan Mohan Reddy, the dissident MLA said in 2008, MLA and ex-minister Anil Kumar Yadav was elected municipal corporator on the Congress ticket with the support of the Anam brothers. He contested on the Congress party ticket in 2009 and he worked as chief election agent to him. Now Anil Kumar Yadav betrayed the Anam brothers, he lashed out.

Kotamreddy announced that he would maintain silence for one month and be away from politics. Replying to a question, he said time would decide from which constituency he would contest the Assembly elections.
