District Collector V Prasanna Venkatesh called upon Self-Help Group women to utilise the financial assistance being extended by the government properly to achieve financial self-reliance.
Eluru district was extended Rs 61.30 crore under reimbursement of interest under the ‘YSR Sunna Vaddi’ scheme, Chief Minister released the amount at a programme held in Amalapuram on Friday.
On the occasion, a programme was organised here on Friday and the Collector released a replica of the cheque. Speaking on the occasion the Collector said that the zero-interest scheme is very useful for the economic progress of 11 savings societies.
He said in the fourth installment of the year 2022-23 on Friday, 1,05,13,305 members of societies in the state received the benefit of reimbursement of interest.
DRDA PD Vijayaraju, MEPMA PD Immanuel, lead district manager Niladri, and other officials were present.
