After the leaders of AP JAC Amaravati gave strike notice, the State government called for a Ministers’ Committee meeting with three employees’ union representatives on Tuesday to discuss pending PRC, financial and non-financial issues. The government invited only AP JAC Amaravati, AP JAC and AP Government Employees Federation for the meeting.

AP JAC Amaravati president Bopparaju Venkateswarlu sought clarification on the pending financial issues and demanded that the government make an announcement about the arrears due to the employees. He asked for clarification on financial details along with PRC dues. The leaders made it clear that the agitation will start on March 9 as decided earlier.

Bopparaju said that the issue discussed with the Ministers’ Committee will be put before the district leaders and tell the committee about their decision.

Bopparaju alleged that the Ministers and MLAs are being paid salaries on the 1st of every month and questioned why the salaries of employees are not paid promptly. He said that ministers and MLAs are given pensions but the government is not bothered to cancel CPS for employees. He demanded that whatever assurance the government gives should be given in writing. He said that they will continue their agitation as per schedule till the Ministers’ Committee gives a commitment on the pending issues.

Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath, Municipal Administration Minister Adimulapu Suresh, Government Advisor (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Government Chief Secretary Dr. KS. Jawahar Reddy, Government Adviser (Employee Welfare) Chandrasekhar Reddy, and Finance Principal Secretary (HR) Chiranjeevi Chaudhary represented the government.
