District Collector Vijaya Krishnan directed the officials to ensure that all the beneficiaries, who were allocated house sites and sanctioned loans, construct houses.

The Collector held a meeting with the officials of the housing construction department, DRDA and MEPMA here on Wednesday and reviewed the construction of houses in the Jagananna colonies. Speaking on the occasion, she asked the officials to motivate the beneficiaries who had been sanctioned housing loans to construct houses in their house sites.

She told the officials that there should be progress in the construction of houses in the Jagananna colonies. She questioned the officials why they had failed to achieve the set targets in the construction of houses and directed them to make ground level visits to know the reasons.
