Every BC owns YSRC: Botsa

Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana has said that BCs have owned the YSRC government as theirs due to the services rendered to Backward Classes by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and affirmed that BCs are the backbone of YSRC government. He said that the ‘Jayaho BC Maha Sabha’ is a grand success with the participation of 139 BC communities and questioned why Chandrababu Naidu did not offer posts to BCs during his regime.

Addressing the media persons on Thursday, the Minister extended his thankfulness to all the 80,000 BCs who participated on the platform of BCs Maha Sabha and made it a grand success. He recalled that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy repeatedly said that BC, SC, ST and Minority communities are the backbone of the party and the government. He said the communities that were neglected by the previous government, the YSRC government, have given assurance and morale to uplift them. He said that the CM had made it public how much was spent on the BCs on various schemes.

Botsa said that there are 10 BC ministers in the State who directly interact with the CM on various issues, but during the TDP regime the Ministers would stand with folded hands in front of Chandrababu Naidu.

Replying to the question from a media person on the merger of AP and TS, Minister Botsa said, “If there is a proposal to merge the two states, it is most welcome and there is nothing wrong and we want both states to be together.” He said that the YSRCP would continue to fight for the rights under the Bifurcation Act.
